In the academic year 2015/2016 he was enrolled in the second cycle – Master studies in Earthquake Engineering and Engineering Seismology within the MEEES (Master of Earthquake Engineering and Engineering Seismology) programme at the „Universite Grenoble Alpes” in Grenoble, France and „Rose School – IUSS – Instituto Universitario di Studi Superiori” in Pavia, Italy as a winner of „Full tuition waiver Scholarship” and „Consortium Scholarship” given by the Institute for advanced studies of Pavia- Scuola Superiore – IUSS for attending the Erasms Mundus Master programme. He completed his master’s degree in 2017 in the field of Earthquake Engineering and Engineering Seismology. He finished his master’s thesis (research internship) entitled „Soil-structure spectral coincidence for Multi-Degree of Freedom, elasto-plastic buildings, a numerical study” at „ISTerre – Institut des Sciences de la Terre” in Grenoble, France under the mentorship of Prof. Dr. Pierre Yves-Bard.
Zabedin Neziri is an external Professional Associate and Doctoral student at the Institute of Earthquake Engineering and Engineering Seismology (IZIIS) in the Department of Risk, Disaster Management and Strategic Planning at the University „Ss. Cyril and Methodius” in Skopje. His narrow field of research is engineering seismology and seismic hazard, a field in which also the doctoral dissertation with the proposed title „Modern approach for identification, classification and parameterization of seismic active faults in North Macedonia” is focused on. He has participated in several training programmes and courses, such as: Virtual International Training Course on „Seismology, Seismic Data Analysis, Hazard Assessment and Risk Mitigation” – GFZ (German Research Center for Geosciences) – Potsdam, Germany (2020); Eurocodes Balkan Summer School – Seismic Design of concrete buildings organized by the European Commission (2021) and YSTC – The Peter Bormann Young Seismologist Training Course – Seismology for Science and Society (2021). He is an active participant of several internal projects, including the project „Eq-DAT: Upgrade and modernization of the existing IZIIS methodology for damage and loss assessment from earthquakes” (2020). He is a participant in the activities of the Career Center formed within IZIIS and also an assistant to the international project „CRISIS: Comprehensive Risk Assessment of Basic Services and Transport Infrastructure” (2020). He has published several scientific papers at national and international conferences and several professional reports.
