SELF-EVALUATION

Self-evaluation represents a continuous process of monitoring and assessing the quality of high education and scientific-research activity, management, financing, material-technical and academic capacities and other activities at the level of the Institute. Self-evaluation is carried out through evaluation of the study programmes and syllabi and the processes of teaching and learning as well as evaluation of the scope and quality of the scientific-research activity and its place and role in the lecturing-educational process and beyond.  The self-evaluation f the Institute of Earthquake Engineering and Engineering Seismology (IZIIS) is part of the process of evaluation of its quality and part of the procedure for accreditation according to the legal acts of the Republic of N. Macedonia. Its three main goals are:

  • To provide a brief and concise review of the lecturing-educational process, the spatial possibilities and the equipment of the Institute, the scientific-research work, the ability and the activities of the students as well as the organizational structure and functioning of the Institute;
  • To analyze the strong and weak points of the Institute in performing the high-education and scientific activity and propose corrective measures; and,
  • To provide a basis that will serve for the self-evaluation carried out by the Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje and its accreditation.

The self-evaluation process is realized by the Commission for Self-evaluation.
