In the academic year 2015/2016 he was enrolled in the second cycle – Master studies in Earthquake Engineering and Engineering Seismology within the MEEES (Master of Earthquake Engineering and Engineering Seismology) programme at the Universite Grenoble Alpes in Grenoble, France and Rose School – IUSS – Instituto Universitario di Studi Superiori in Pavia, Italy, as a winner of Full tuition waiver Scholarship and Consortium Scholarship. His master’s thesis (research internship) was conducted at ISTerre – Institut des Sciences de la Terre in Grenoble, France, under the mentorship of Prof. Dr. Pierre Yves-Bard. He completed his master’s degree in 2017.

Zabedin Neziri currently is an assistant and PhD student at the Institute of Earthquake Engineering and Engineering Seismology (IZIIS) in the Department of Risk, Disaster Management and Strategic Planning at the University Ss. Cyril and Methodius in Skopje. His narrow field of research is engineering seismology and seismic hazard, a field in which also his doctoral dissertation is focused on. He has participated in several training courses and study stays, such as: GFZ-Potsdam, Germany – online (2020), Eurocodes Balkan Summer School – online (2021), YSTC – The Peter Bormann Young Seismologist Training Course – online (2021), Openquake  course organized by GEM (Global Earthquake Model) Foundation – online (2023), EPOS Seismology Workshop, Podgorica (2023), GFZ-Potsdam, Germany held in Podgorica (2023), First Workshop of QGIS user group North Macedonia (2024), and ETHZ-Zurich, Switzerland (2024). He has actively participated in international DG-ECHO projects such as CRISIS (101004830-CRISIS-UCPM-2020-PP-AG) for Comprehensive Risk Assessment of Basic Services and Transport Infrastructure (2020-2022) and ISRA (101101255-ISRA-UCPM-2022-PP) for Integrative Strengthening of Seismic Risk Awareness (2022-2024).

He is actively involved in the professional-applicative activities of IZIIS and also in the work of professional commissions and working groups related to elaboration of opinions about designed and as-built level of mechanical resistance, stability, and seismic protection of structures in the Republic of North Macedonia. He is member of the Macedonian Association for Earthquake Engineering MAEE. Neziri has published several scientific papers at national and international conferences and several professional reports including seismological studies for the general urban plan of the city of Bitola and the city of Kumanovo.
