Dr. Nikola Naumovski (1975) graduated from the Mechanical Engineering Faculty in Skopje, Welding and Welded Structures major, in 2000. In 2002, he was enrolled in the second cycle of international post-graduate studies held at the Institute of Earthquake Engineering and Engineering Seismology (IZIIS), as a fellowship holder within the DAAD programme (German Academic Exchange Programme). In 2012, Dr. Naumovski was awarded master degree in the Earthquake Engineering field when he successfully defended his master thesis entitled “Possibilities for Implementation of Additional Direction of Motion of Biaxial Seismic Shaking Table”. He was enrolled in doctoral studies at the UKIM’s School of Doctoral Studies, Earthquake Engineering major in 2013. In 2021, he successfully defended his doctoral dissertation entitled “Integrated Methodological Approach to Analysis of the Impact of Railway Traffic Vibration on People and Facilities”. Dr. Nikola Naumovski has been full time employee of the Institute of Earthquake Engineering and Engineering Seismology (IZIIS), Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje, at the Department for Dynamic Testing and Informatics since 2003. He has actively participated in a number of scientific-research and applicative projects noteworthy among which are FP6 Prohitech, FP7 SERIES, FP7 UREDITEME, H2020 SERA, NATO SfP, etc. He has also actively taken part in missions such as the short term scientific mission in L’Aquila, Italy, within COST C26 Action. He has been on a one month study stay at the Cracow University of Technology, Poland. His fields of interest include experimental mechanics, dynamics of structures, environmental vibrations, etc.
Dr. Naumovski is author and co-author of a large number of scientific papers published in the proceedings of national and international conferences. He is member of the Macedonian Association for Earthquake Engineering MAEE.
