MSc Aleksandar Zlateski, grad. civil eng., is currently working as a Research Assistant at the Institute of Earthquake Engineering and Engineering Seismology – IZIIS, Skopje, R. Macedonia in the department of Building Structures and Material: Design, Analysis and Testing. He started her bachelor studies in the academic year 2004/2005 at the Faculty of Civil Engineering in Skopje (module: structural engineering) and graduated in October 2008 with an average grade of 8.86/10. He continued her studies doing a master’s program at the Faculty of Civil Engineering in Skopje, in the academic year 2008/2009. He earned an MSc degree in Earthquake Engineering in June 2013 after successfully passing the exams with an average grade of 9.33/10 and defending his master thesis titled “Nonlinear behavior of soft-story buildings”. From October 2015 he is enrolled in Ph.D. studies at IZIIS in the field of study: Repair and Strengthening of masonry structures. In the academic year 2017/2018 he has successfully completed Advanced Masters in Structural Analysis of Monuments and Historical Constructions from SAHC – consortium institutions: University of Minho (Guimarães, Portugal), Czech Technical University in Prague (Prague, Czech Republic), Technical University of Catalonia (Barcelona, Spain), University of Padova (Padova, Italy). During his work engagement in IZIIS, she has taken a part in several scientific-research projects. He is actively involved in the professional applicative activities of IZIIS in the field of the design of earthquake-resistant structures, repair and strengthening of reinforced concrete and masonry structures, earthquake protection of traditional masonry buildings and monuments, as well as in the work of the professional commission team for issuing documents for projected and performed degree of mechanical resistance, stability, and seismic protection of buildings in the Republic of Macedonia. She participated in the production of original instructional materials for the control of project documentation done by application of the Eurocodes. She has published as an author or co-author multiple papers in the field of earthquake engineering, in journals with impact factors, as well as conference proceedings with an international editorial board. He is a member of the International Council on Monuments and Sites ICOMOS-Macedonian, the Association for Earthquake Engineering MAEE, the European Association for Earthquake Engineers, Macedonian Association of Structural Engineers MASE as well as the Macedonian Chamber of Certified Architects and Certified Engineers of the Republic of Macedonia.
