Since October 2024, she has served as Deputy Director for International Cooperation and Development. Previously, she headed the Department for Risk, Disaster Management and Strategic Planning from November 2017 to October 2024.
Her expertise focuses on seismic hazard assessment, seismic zonation, seismic risk and multi-hazard disaster risk assessment. She completed her PhD in 2015 as a DAAD/SEEFORM scholar, with research on advanced approaches to seismic hazard assessment for North Macedonia.
Within the IZIIS master’s programme, she teaches “Basics of Seismic Risk” as the main lecturer, “Engineering Seismology”, and “Project Planning and Management”. In the doctoral programme, she is the main lecturer for “Seismic Risk” and “Seismic Hazard” and also teaches “Fundamentals of Earthquake Engineering and Engineering Seismology” and “Strong Motion Seismology and Seismic Microzoning”.
Since 2003, she has participated in numerous national and international scientific and professional projects. Her major assignments include serving as Partner Country Director for the NATO project “Improvements in the Harmonized Seismic Hazard Maps for the Western Balkan Countries” (2012–2015) and Project Leader for the “Assessment of Seismic Hazard and Risk in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi” (2010–2013). She is also one of the authors of the national seismic zoning maps developed in 2015–2016 for the National Annex to Eurocode 8.
She currently coordinates EMERGE – Rapid Multi-Risk Needs Evaluation and Planning Platform (2025–2027), funded under the Union Civil Protection Mechanism. Since August 2025, she has also coordinated the World Bank assignment “Risk analytics to inform investments in critical infrastructure” within the North Macedonia Prepare for Futures Project. She serves as the National Contact Point for seismic-related issues in IPA CARE – Capacity for Risk Management of Earthquakes and Health Emergencies in Türkiye and the Western Balkans (2023–2028).
Her project experience includes the DG-ECHO initiatives Infra-NAT (2018–2019), CRISIS (2020–2022), L2BR (2021–2022), and ISRA (2022–2024), as well as the Croatian research projects SeisRICHerCRO and SEISTOPCRO. Her consultancy work includes assignments for the World Bank, UNDP, WHO, EBRD and JICA, covering risk assessment, vulnerability analysis, disaster preparedness and critical infrastructure resilience.
She is co-author, with Zoran Milutinovic, of the Springer book Seismic Hazard Zonation for the Republic of North Macedonia (2026). Her publication record also includes peer-reviewed journal articles, more than 60 conference papers and over 120 professional reports.
