IZIIS has been the host of a series of educational workshops for children in Skopje – the city that faced a catastrophic earthquake 60 years ago. The marking of the anniversary of this event is not only seen as a reminder but it’s aimed at educating new generations about safety against earthquakes.
Our program for 17 May included “Kocho Racin” kindergarten where the youngest ones had the opportunity to explore the fascinating world of earthquakes through amusing and dynamic presentations and activities.
Through visual accessory tools and practical demonstrations, we familiarized them with the earthquake concept in a way appropriate for their age and we focused on the topics of safety, resistance, and preparedness.
