Our fifth interactive educational workshop under the motto “IZIIS for Skopje” was held for the pupils of the 8th and 9th grades of “Kiro Gligorov” Primary School for the purpose of evoking their interest in the topic and increasing awareness about earthquake protection among the youngest.
The pupils had the opportunity to learn more about earthquakes as natural phenomena and their effects. Using practical and educational tools, they independently came to conclusions about the general principles of the construction of earthquake-resistant buildings. With this, we initiated interest in the STEM concept (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) that prepares new generations for the permanently transforming future.
