MSc Ana Nanevska, grad. civil eng. is currently working as a Research Assistant at the Institute of Earthquake Engineering and Engineering Seismology – IZIIS, Skopje, R. N. Macedonia in the department of Engineering Structures and Software. She started her bachelor studies in the academic year 2013/14 at the Faculty of Civil Engineering in Skopje (module: structural engineering) and graduated in August 2016 with an average grade of 9.41/10. During her studies she has been awarded three times as one of the best students in the generation. She continued her studies doing master program at IZIIS-UKIM, in the academic year 2016/17. During her studies she has successfully completed a one-semester Erasmus+ exchange in Zagreb, Croatia. She earned a MSc degree in Earthquake Engineering in September 2019 after successfully passing the exams with an average grade of 9.92/10 and defending her master thesis titled as “Impact of the filtration boundary conditions on the static and seismic stability of tailings dams”. From October 2019 she is enrolled in PhD studies at IZIIS in the field of study: Seismic Analysis of Dams. She started her professional work engagement in IZIIS in 2016 along with the enrolment in the master program, first as a Young Researcher, and now, from December 2019, as a Research Assistant. During her work engagement in IZIIS, she has taken a part in a number of scientific-research projects noteworthy among which are the European DG-ECHO projects: L2BR – Learn to be Resilient (101017950 – L2BR – UCPM-2020-KN-AG), INFRANAT–Increased Resilience of Critical Infrastructure to Natural and Human-Induced Hazards (783298–INFRA-NAT–UCPM-2017-PP-AG), as well as the European project CRISIS – Comprehensive RISk assessment of basic services and transport InfraStructure (101004830 — CRISIS — UCPM-2020-PP-AG) and the Erasmus+ project PARFORCE – Partnership for virtual laboratories in civil engineering. She is actively involved in the professional applicative activities of IZIIS, as well as in the work of professional commission team for issuing documents for projected and performed degree of mechanical resistance, stability, and seismic protection of buildings in the Republic of North Macedonia. She participated in the production of original instructional materials for the control of project documentation done by application of the Eurocodes. She has published as author or co-author multiple papers in the field of earthquake engineering, in journals with impact factor, as well as conference proceedings with an international editorial board. Has participated in few seminars, professional trainings, and schools, like: Eurocodes Balkan Summer School (July 2021), organized by the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre (JRC), Е-tutor training (October 2021) as part of the Erasmus+ PARFORCE project, at the Bauhaus University in Weimar, Germany, and the 3rd BIM International Summer School (July 2020), organized by the Technical University of Iasi, Romania. She is skilled in doing technical drawings, as well as performing static and dynamic analysis on reinforced concrete and steel structures (buildings and engineering structures) in different software packages. She is skilled in numerical modeling and takes an active participation in the upgrade of the original ADAD-IZIIS software.
